About this Class
Based on thematic projects, children develop their oral comprehension and speaking skills through songs, games, movement and role-plays. Our teaching methodology for near-native and bilingual speakers caters to different types of learners – whether visual, auditory or kinesthetic. This multimodal approach helps bilinguals use the exposure to French they have had at home, with relatives or previously in school and encourages them to express themselves. In addition, the class builds on pre-writing skills and focuses on sounds-letter correspondences.
We focus on creating a dynamic, fun and comfortable learning experience in order for children to develop a positive relationship with French. By creating a comfortable and engaging classroom environment, our teachers encourage experiential learning. In addition to being immersed in French, children will connect with their home language and socialize with children of similar proficiency.
