Emile Jadoul (1963-) est un écrivain belge qui crée les livres doux et amusants pour les petits. Après ses études à l’Ecole de Beaux-Arts de Liège en Belgique, il a débuté comme coloriste de bandes dessinées. Il publie désormais ses propres albums pour les enfants, et il collabore avec d'autres illustrateurs et écrivains. Il a en outre exposé ses oeuvres dans les galleries de France et de Belgique. Pour ses illustrations, il utilise différentes techniques : la peintre à l’huile, l’encre, et le crayon. Son livre Les mains de papa a été peint entièrement avec les doigts. Son univers, peuplé des mignons pingouins et de drôles de lapins, capture la vie quotidienne des petits avec beaucoup de sensibilité et de charme.
