About this Class

Our core language classes will strengthen your French through speaking, writing and comprehension activities while providing insights into Francophone culture. Our teachers and curriculum use cutting-edge methods and resources to expand your skills and increase your confidence in French. With full immersion from day one and a communicative, task-based approach you'll gain a deeper understanding of the French language and Francophone world!

Required: B1-1 slow pace part 1 or equivalent. Prepare for CECR B1

In this course you will cover unit 2 of Edito 3. Please note that a CD player is needed to play the included disc.



Content you will cover in Unit 2:
"Le goût des nôtres"

Learn How To
Talk about family stories ; describe close relationships ; tell a story describing past situations, habits and events ; express pleasure and joy ; share a memory or an anecdote, and lament forgotten memories.

Grammar
Using the passé composé and the imperfect verbal tenses together ; time indicateurs for expressing duration and specific moments ; agreements for using pronominal verbs in the passé composé verbal.

Society, Culture, and Vocabulary
Learn about a Belgian intergenerational meeting site ; a childhood in Cameroon ; French family trees ; and more. Vocabulary: Human beings ; family ; relationships.

Phonetics
Noticing syllabic equality and elongation of the stressed vowel.
