About this Class

In this special edition, attention will be given to poets who have taken a stand against tyranny and have used their talent to promote and defend Freedom and Liberty.

Poems: La liberté, Paul Éluard;
Le déserteur, Boris Vian;
Liberté, Andrée Chedid;
Étranges étrangers, Jacques Prévert;
Le temps de la liberté, Aimé Césaire.

Communicative and Linguistic Objectives:
Understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered.
Deal with most situations likely to arise in role plays and creative writing micro tasks.
Produce well connected text on topics that are from various interests.
Describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions; give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans; make usage of appropriate speech verbal tools and introduce notion of nuances

Joséphine
Joséphine is half French, half English and has lived in Sweden, France, England, Luxembourg, Scotland and the USA. She has a degree in literature from the University of St Andrews (Scotland) and has taught all ages both in Luxembourg and the UK. Joséphine takes joy in sharing her knowledge of French language and culture in a fun and engaging way and always takes care to tailor her lessons to students’ interests, learning styles and objectives. An avid foodie and fine artlover, she also enjoys literature and dancing. In her spare time, Joséphine paints abstract pictures, devours novels and spends quality time with family and friends.
