About this Class

Discover the Val de Loire region of France, its history, its cultural and architectural heritage, its landscapes crossed by the Loire River. Famous for its castles, its vineyards, and its sweetness of life, Val de Loire is also the birthplace or adopted land of many great artists and writers.

Communicative and Linguistic objectives:
Understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered
Deal with most situations likely to arise while traveling virtually to the area
Produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar and of personal interest
Describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans

About Joséphine Wolfe

Joséphine is half French, half English and has lived in Sweden, France, England, Luxembourg, Scotland and the USA. She has a degree in literature from the University of St Andrews (Scotland) and has taught all ages both in Luxembourg and the UK. Joséphine takes joy in sharing her knowledge of French language and culture in a fun and engaging way and always takes care to tailor her lessons to students’ interests, learning styles and objectives. An avid foodie and fine artlover, she also enjoys literature and dancing. In her spare time, Joséphine paints abstract pictures, devours novels and spends quality time with family and friends.
