About this Class

Following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, students develop four key language areas: speaking, oral comprehension, reading and writing. Our teaching methodology caters to different types of learners and uses a structured and leveled curriculum.

In this class, students evolve from understanding new words and sentences in French through a variety of media to producing them in different contexts through structured role-plays. As they become increasingly independent French speakers, they will also explore francophone culture and people. With an emphasis on authentic communication, this task-based approach also helps students develop an understanding of the grammar and spelling of French. Ultimately, our goal is not only to teach students language skills, but to have them interpret the world from a different perspective.

If your child is new to the Center and between the ages of 10 and 16, please have them take our Placement Test for Kids & Teens to ensure they enroll in the right course level.
