About this Class

What is the symbol of the rose in the tale of La Belle et la Bête (Beauty and the Beast)?
Let’s read this story together in French! This class uses an innovative learning approach for beginner French students who have a strong basic French foundation. We will work on comprehension, pronunciation and oral communication skills through reading and discussing an abbreviated (and adapted in length and in its language) version of Beauty and the Beast (by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont).
Vocabulary, grammar and conjugation will unfold in a natural intuitive immersion process while also leaving space for exploring specific language challenges. Students will be encouraged to read out-loud, play part of the dialogues, discuss and write about the short story, becoming more comfortable with all facets of communicating in French.

- Practice reading out loud and improve overall pronunciation
- Build on their vocabulary, grammar and basic verbs foundation through reading Charles Perrault's short tales
- Answer comprehension questions
- Give opinions and debate about characters actions
