About Our Program

We offer language instruction for every child from the beginner to the bilingual student. Children participate in a variety of activities related to that week’s theme, including arts & crafts, games, storytelling, and more, all of which provide creative opportunities for children to strengthen their vocabulary and have fun speaking French.

Our programs are age appropriate, adapted to online learning, and tailored to the language level of the child. We focus on creating a dynamic, fun and comfortable learning experience in order for children to develop a love for languages. In this way, children become experiential learners, but more than just learning a new language, they will interpret the world from a different perspective.

Week 2: La bande dessinée / Comics!
Tintin, Capitaine Haddock, and Milou are just a few of the characters from the famous comic series The Adventures of Tintin. Kids will enrich their vocabulary and travel across time and space to discover this exciting world. They will even get to create their very own comics!

Week 3: Le Monde des Animaux / Animals and their habitats
Our world today has a great diversity of animal species, but what about in prehistoric times? This week, kids will travel all the way back to the Paleolithic Age, and learn about the animals painted in the famous caves of Lascaux. An archaeological adventure awaits!

Week 4: Vive la Francophonie ! / French speaking world
French is spoken as an official language in many countries across the globe, known as the "Francophone world.” Kids will learn about the many vibrant cultures and dialects of French found in Europe, Africa, Asia and North America. An amazing journey without leaving Boston!

Week 5: La Magie et les Arts du Cirque / Magic and Circus Arts
Kids will learn vocabulary through observation and movement as they discover tricks, illusions, and acts to impress their audience!

Week 6: Contes et légendes / Tales and Legends
Storytelling will guide this week’s activities as kids learn about the French Middle Ages. Kings and Queens, knights, witches, dragons and other fantastical characters from folklore and fairy tales will inspire children to create their own stories.

Week 7: Les Superhéros / Superheroes
Fly into the future and discover the superpower in you in this week of science fiction adventure! Kids will create their own alter ego and form a squad of superheroes so powerful they can go out and change the world of tomorrow.

Week 8: La Mode / Fashion Week
Kids will use colors, textures, and prints to stylize their own outfits as they discover Les Années Folles in Paris. Older kids will create their own line of clothing and accessories, all while learning clothing-related vocabulary and words unique to fashion.

    Week 9: Les Beaux-Arts / Fine Arts
Children will create art using different types of media while learning about famous impressionist painters and their masterpieces. Art is an excellent medium to convey language and this week is sure to bring out each child’s creativity and passion.
