About this Class

Paris is without a doubt the city of arts and museums. Take a virtual walk with Lucile as we embark on a new series dedicated to museums. You will discover the history behind the places, the buildings and their locations and will admire their collections. Through articles, reports and witnesses of historians and curators, you will learn how to look at a piece of art as well as comment upon and analyze a masterpiece. All the tools to become a critic! The following museums will be explored:

Musée Rodin
Musée Jacquemart-André
Musée du quai Branly (centré sur les pays d'Afrique Francophone)
Musée des Arts décoratifs
Musée de l’Orangerie

About Lucile Chaurin Ablanedo

Lucile was born and raised in France in the beautiful Loire Valley. She is a painter with an MFA in painting from the ENSBA (Paris National School of Fine Arts). While living in Paris, she began teaching art classes and running workshops for children. In addition to her dedication to painting and teaching, she enjoys reading world literature, watching movies and listening to different kinds of music.
