Synopsis
A cop from the provinces moves to Paris to join the Anti-Crime Brigade of Montfermeil, discovering an underworld where the tensions between the different groups mark the rhythm. The story follows several characters within the commune, as a theft from a teenager spirals into the threat of a large crisis.This debut feature film by Ladj Ly received massive acclaim: winner for Best Film at the Césars, winner of the 2019 Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, nominated for Best Foreign film at the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes.
