Join us for this educational workshop on faux amis (false friends) and a variety of new verbs to add to your vocabulary. Event in French. The French Cultural Center, 53 Marlborough St, Boston, Massachusetts, United StatesAmerica/New_York
Did you know that a raisin in French is a grape, not a popular cookie ingredient? Or that the verb "rester" means "to stay" and not "to rest"?
This February we are back with our educational workshops for members and we're helping you expand your French vocabulary! Dive into faux amis, or false friends, in part 1 of the workshop where we'll help you avoid usings words that sound like an English word but carry a different meaning in French. Then in part 2 we'll introduce you to a variety of verbs that you can add to your French vocabulary arsenal in 2020. You'll be speaking like a native in no time!
This workshop is taught by Julien Delbasty, and is perfect for intermediate learners (level B1 +) who want to brush up on their vocabulary and practice a new side of the French language.
* No refunds will be given for this event.
About this Event
Our educational workshops for members are perfect for those who want to practice and extend their French language studies but can't commit to a full class session. Each workshop is guided by a theme.
About Julien Delbasty
Julien wants his students to have fun, be enthusiastic and proud about speaking French, and never be afraid to speak and make mistakes! When he is not teaching, he enjoys reading French novels, studying history, running, and (most importantly) cooking and eating good French food.
