Join us online for another one of our popular educational workshops about art!
Have you ever wandered around a museum or art gallery and wanted to be able to discuss what you see en français? Do you enjoy learning about pieces of art from various time periods and deep diving into their stories? If you answered "yes" to either of these questions, this workshop is for you.
Bright colors, light, flowery gardens that invite you to take a walk ... Let's celebrate the coming summer with the Nabis painters! As ephemeral as it is unique, this movement was founded by artists who wanted to push the Impressionist revolution further. By simplifying forms and abolishing the boundaries between fine arts and decorative arts, the Nabis paved the way for abstraction but also allowed two of their most famous members, Édouard Vuillard and Pierre Bonnard, to find their very own way to represent the world. We will retrace the path of these two artists who became major figurative painters of the first half of the 20th century. You will also discover the work of their lesser-known fellows, such as Paul Sérusier, Felix Vallotton, and Maurice Denis.
This workshop is perfect for intermediate/advanced learners (at least B1 level) who want to brush up on their art vocabulary and deepen their discussions in French! Zoom information will be sent via email before the event.
