Join us online for another one of our popular educational workshop about art!
Have you ever wandered around a museum or art gallery and wanted to be able to discuss what you see en français? Do you enjoy learning about pieces of art from various time periods and deep diving into their stories? If you answered "yes" to either of these questions, this workshop is for you.
Of all the modern art movements in France, Impressionism, Cubism, Surrealism, the School of Paris ... we too often only remember the names of male artists. International Women's Day, March 8, 2021, will be an opportunity to retrace the creative journeys of women painters and sculptors in this period marked by profound social and cultural upheavals that stretched from the end of the 19th century to the 1950s. We will highlight the works of women who have been able to integrate the aestheticruptures of their time into their art while bearing a different perspective - from that of men - on the world, the great subjects of the history of art, in particular that of the representation of the female body.
This workshop is perfect for intermediate/advanced learners (at least B1 level) who want to brush up on their art vocabulary and deepen their discussions in French! Zoom information will be sent via email before the event.
