Your digital library and newsstand

Culturethèque is an online platform available for free to French Cultural Center members that contains thousands of magazines, eBooks, comic books and children's picture books. This e-library can be accessed 24/7 from any computer, tablet or mobile device in the United States. ​

  • Explore interactive eBooks on Storyplay'r
  • Stream tutoring resources for teenagers
  • Download fiction and non-fiction for young adults

How to get started

To obtain your ID and password for Culturethèque, please contact the circulation desk via email at , or by calling 617.912.0417, with your name and membership number.

Once you receive the login information, just go to “CONNECT” at the top right of the screen (no need to click "subscribe").

Browse selections of resources in blue tabs, or access the entire collection through the top search bar.

Our Médiathèque has a number of great children's magazines to inspire, take a break from screen-time, or advance French language learning. These magazines are a great way for kids and teens to discover new ideas and stories along with special features, like mini-games and audiobooks. With ten magazines covering all ages and interests, there’s something for everyone!

9 months – 3 years: Picoti
3-7 years: Pomme d’Api
4-8 years: Les Belles Histoires
5-8 years: Toboclic (CD-R)
6 and up: Mes Premiers J’aime Lire
6-8 years: J’apprends à Lire

Nos films pour enfants

The library has an ever-expanding collection of DVDs for children, including TV shows, movies, documentaries, and short films. On our shelves, you can browse by title or by favorite character, including Babar, Caillou, and Tintin. Members can borrow films for two weeks and can reserve online via our online catalog.
